Research and Development

Since 1994, the Research and Development Department has participated in national and European projects, systematically connecting classroom practice with contemporary educational research. The Department’s core areas of activity include the integration of cutting-edge technologies and the design of innovative educational programs and materials. These programs are the result of interdisciplinary collaboration among experts in the fields of computer science, technology, pedagogy, didactics, and educational psychology, ensuring a high level of scientific rigor and pedagogical validity.

In 1994, the Department of Research and Development was established, which ensures the participation of Ellinogermaniki Agogi in international programs for the design, implementation and evaluation of original pedagogical methods and educational material.

The Department’s initiatives span a wide range of areas, including inquiry-based and collaborative learning, the use of digital tools, the pedagogically grounded integration of artificial intelligence into the educational process, environmental education and sustainability, biomimicry, as well as the development of STEM initiatives. At the heart of every new educational approach is the student. The educational programs are implemented across all levels of schooling, while educational technologies are meaningfully integrated into teaching practices, enriching the learning experience. In this way, students are given the opportunity to actively participate in innovative activities, approach knowledge through inquiry, cultivate critical thinking, and develop skills essential for their future academic journey.

Ellinogermaniki Agogi has participated, either as coordinator or partner, in more than 300 European Union-funded projects, collaborating with schools, universities, and research centers in Greece and abroad. The outcomes of this research activity are systematically evaluated, presented at scientific conferences, and published in international academic journals. The school’s continuous interaction with universities and research institutions, the collaboration between educators and scientists at an international level, and the meaningful integration of modern technology all contribute to shaping a school that is open to the world — a school consistently oriented toward educational innovation and excellence.

At Ellinogermaniki Agogi, the school of tomorrow is already a reality.
