High School

High School is where school education reaches its end. At this stage, the central focus is preparing students both for their continuing studies and for their future integration into society. Our goal is to equip them with the knowledge and skills that will ensure a successful career.

The school provides strong support by offering, in the 11th and 12th grades, a comprehensive program of preparatory tutoring for the PanHellenic Examinations. Small class sizes, intensive preparation, and continuous assessment, both during the school year and throughout the summer, combined with our experienced teachers, lead to truly impressive results in the PanHellenic exams.

Our teachers are committed not only to systematic and methodical preparation but also to offering pedagogical support that strengthens students emotionally and psychologically, helping them cope with the challenge of the examinations. A distinctive feature of our High is the Mentor system, where each student is assigned a personal teacher-advisor. During these last two, particularly demanding years, every student has their own mentor who supports and guides them, from the beginning of the 11th grade all the way through to filling out their final university application form after the exams. Mentors meet students at school, collect feedback from their teachers, discuss progress, guide them through difficulties, and communicate with parents/guardians to provide a full picture of performance and growth.

For our students, success is the best reward for their hard work. For us, the school’s consistently high success rates are the greatest satisfaction and concrete proof of the effectiveness of our efforts.

In foreign language courses, students are thoroughly prepared for internationally recognized certifications such as the Mittelstufendiplom (B2), the Kleines Deutsches Sprachdiplom (C1), the KMK Deutsches Sprachdiplom Stufe II, and the Proficiency (C2). These diplomas not only certify their language competence but also open doors to German and English-speaking universities.

Great emphasis is also placed on career guidance. Personal contact with each student and their family, the exploration of individual talents, and the identification of new trends in the job market are the cornerstones of our approach. A systematic program of aptitude assessment and career counseling, led by specialized psychologists and educators, supports students in making informed choices. At the same time, information offices for university studies abroad provide families with guidance on international study opportunities and future career prospects.

In High, the fruits of many years of education finally ripen. We strive to offer our students the knowledge and skills that will allow them to study, live, and work in a world without borders, on solid foundations, ready to become the academic citizens of tomorrow with a well-rounded education and broad cultural development.

Our students travel in Greece and abroad, gaining invaluable experiences. They publish magazines and newspapers, take an active role in organizing school celebrations, cultural and sports events, and participate in competitions, clubs, and meetings with scientists, distinguished authors, and artists, broadening their horizons.

Their presence at conferences and seminars, as well as the presentation of their own work at the High Student Conference, helps them begin building their CV even during their school years. Students are introduced to scientific research, to writing and presenting full research projects, while their papers and presentations are published in the proceedings of the National Documentation Centre.

Sports, too, play an important role in High life, providing a healthy outlet for relieving stress and balancing the demanding pace of studies. Our coaches ensure that students enjoy recreation and moments of relaxation alongside their academic efforts.

And yet, for Ellinogermaniki Agogi students, life at school does not end with graduation. A new community awaits to welcome them: the Alumni Association. Closely linked to the life of the school, it embraces its new members each year. Our graduates return regularly to their school to attend events or even organize their own. The fond memories they bring back with them testify that, even amidst intensive work, school life here is lived in an atmosphere of warmth, security, and joy in learning.
